After visiting Mike’s Dad earlier in the week, we took a plane to Vienna and then train direct to Salzburg, arriving Friday 19th in the evening. We stayed two nights in an old hotel in the old town and spent Saturday and Sunday morning visiting Salzburg (and buying new hiking sticks for Lisbeth). Then a hectic bus ride to Fuschl around Sunday midday to get us to the starting point of the Ten Lakes walking holiday. From Fuschl, we walked to Mondsee, St Wolfgang and then Bad Ischl where we stayed 2 nights (good choice). Then on to Altausee, Hallstatt and finally back to Fuschl (on the traumatic bus 150, this time a breaking rear window) via Bad Ischl.
