After check-out we first re-visited Mondsee lakeside then walked back to the bus station to get a bus to Unterach am Attersee where the walk really started. The first few kilometers go around the shore of Attersee and then turns up the Burggrabenklamm (gorge). We by-passed the gorge and took a longer but gentler route on forest roads, rejoining the main route at the top of the gorge. From here, on through wonderful meadows (and rain) to Scharzensee where we had lunch. The last few kilometers took us to Wolfgangsee and down into the town before finding the bicycle ferry to the opposite bank where our hotel was situated.
